Ableton Live 9 Vst Plugin Folder

So I bought Intro and upgraded from Lite and I downloaded Launchpad95 and it is the most fun I've had making music. I decided to try and get some VST Plug-ins so I can make electro-dubstep. So I download them and I look up every possible video I can find on how to put the plug-ins into ableton and nothing has worked.. and i mean NOTHING!!! Is Intro not allowed to have plug-ins? am I doing something wrong? I'm flustered. -_- I'm pissed and I want to really make this work. If someone can help me, I ould be very happy and grateful.

Obs vst audio plugins. Re: Ableton not showing vst's Post by andrewf » Sun Jul 21, 2019 6:57 pm Nearly all the plugins have an install for both 32 and 64 bit so i can understand not seeing the 32 bit but even the 64 bit files as long as they are.dll they do no show up. VST plug-ins are instruments and effects from third party manufacturers which can be installed and used in Live. VST2 plug-ins use the.dll file extension. VST3 plug-ins use the.vst3 file extension. How to install and activate VST plug-ins on Windows. Download the latest installer file from the plug-in manufacturer's website and run it. /halftime-vst-free.html. Live Versions: 9-10 Operating System: All Supported Plug-in formats VST2 - 64 & 32-bit VST3 - 64-bit (Live 10.1 and later only). For Native Instruments, you can move the Native Instruments.dll's to the new vst folder, then open the Native Access app. Native Access will show that your Native Instruments plugins have been lost, but if you click on each one, you can navigate to the new dll location and Native Access will reconnect to the plugins, and maintain them in that. See our dedicated article: Using Waves plug-ins with a custom VST folder. Don't move the standalone or VST versions after installing (Windows only) VST plug-ins might stop working when the stand-alone application of the plug-in gets moved, renamed or uninstalled. : No bridge for 32bit plugins in 64bit version!(I'm sure they'd mention it if there was one) Live 9 has not much to offer, except Push, which purpose is to catch the customers of hardware, and bind those to Ableton, because those hardly switch to other DAW.

I am using ableton live lite which on the website shows it supports vst plugins. I have set up custom folders and pointed ableton to them and re scanned multiple times, i have re installed plugins multiple times to different locations to try to fix the problem nothing worked. The only plugins that show up are plugins that have a .vst3 extension any .dll plugins whether it is 32 or 64 bit will not show up in ableton no matter what i try, i have tried the articles on the help website and tried all the steps i have wiped my entire system and did a clean install and tried the steps above to see if it was an external process that was interfering but i still have the same problem no .dll plugin will load no matter where i put it no matter where i install no matter what i do it does not show up in ableton, i have no idea what to do. The website only provides support for intro, standard and suite so i am out of luck. Ableton live 9 vst plugin folder
